1-Day 12 hour course
 
This course comprises of our oxygen therapy, entonox and AED course combines as 1 course and delivered over a 12 hour period usually in 1 day.
 
The course is delivered in 3 distinct modules delivered by traininers holding the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Trainer Course.
 
The course is delivered as follows:
 
AED module:
  • Phase 1 - CPR session. Candidates must be able to perform effective CPR as per current guidelines prior to moving to phase 2.
  • Phase 2 - AED

 

Oxygen Therapy Module

  • How to store oxygen cylinders safely
  • How oxygen works
  • How to select and insert Oro-Pharyngeal Airways
  • How to use a Bag, Valve, Mask Resuscitator
  • How to use oxygen therapy to suppliment CPR

 

Entonox Module

  • How Entonox Works
  • How to use Entonox Equipment
  • How to teach a casualty to Self-Administer Entonox

 

Course Duration

  • 1 x 12 hour training day

  • Ongoing assessment
  • Multi choice paper

 

Award

  • Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Training Agency Medical Gases and AED Certificate

 

Length of Certification

  • 3 Years from the date of the Certificate
