For Health Care Professionals
We provide Continual Progressive Development Training (CPD) for organisations and individuals within the NHS, private and Voluntary Sectors. The current planned training packages vary from 2 - 6 hours dependant on the required package. We are also able to arrange CPD Training to suite individual organisational requirements.
We are able to deliver "One Off" CPD training or are able to provide a more longitudinal CPD package that ensures your staff are up to date meeting the requirements for their employment.
2011 CPD TRAINING
This year, our CPD Training reflects the changes introduced on the 18th of October 2010 by the Resuscitation Council (UK) to the Resuscitation Guidelines.
The training includes the following Packages:
CPD PHC-M&D - 3-Hours
Compliance with the Resuscitation Council (2010) Guidelines
This Three Hour CPD Training package is designed to ensure that staff employed in Medical and Dental Practices are current with their resuscitation skills.
We recognise that staff working in such settings have precious time where they can be away from their normal working environment as a group at the same time for a long period of time. This 3 - Hour Emergency Life Support Course is ideal for such staff as we are able to deliver the training at your site over a 3 hour session when the practice would usually be closed.
Resuscitation Training – Adult Basic Life Support Skills Update
This 3 hour CPD Training session ensures that candidates are brought up to date with the current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines for Adult Basic Life Support. The areas covered in this CPD Session are:
Adult Basic Life Support – CPR
Adult Conscious Choking Casualty
Adult Unconscious Choking Casualty
Adult Unconscious Casualty – Recovery Position
Life Threatening Haemorrhage
Cardiac Chest Pain
Myocardial Infarction
Asthma
The course is lead by one of our State Registered Paramedic Resuscitation Training Officers who will be able to answer questions and clear some of the myths surrounding the topics.
Price – £300.00 for a Group of up to 12 candidates
We are able to accept additional candidates (up to six additional candidates) at £25.00 per candidates for this course.
CPD PHC-Bag Valve Mask Resuscitation and AED (Automated External Defibrillation) - 4-Hours
Compliance with the Resuscitation Council (2010) Guidelines
This Four Hour CPD Training package is designed to ensure that staff employed in Medical and Dental Practices are current with their resuscitation skills as well as additional skills in the use of Bag Valve Mask Resuscitation and AED (Automated External Defibrillation).
We recognise that staff working in such settings have precious time where they can be away from their normal working environment as a group at the same time for a long period of time. This 4-Hour Course is ideal for such staff as we are able to deliver the training at your site over a 4 hour session when the practice would usually be closed.
Practice Nurses, Reception staff, Medical and Dental staff have the opportunity to undertake the training as a group:

Resuscitation Training – Adult Advanced Skills Update
This 4 hour CPD Training session ensures that candidates are brought up to date with the current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines for Adult Life Support and incorporates advanced skills. The areas covered in this CPD Session are:
Adult Basic Life Support – CPR
Pocket Face Mask Resuscitation
Bag, Valve, Mask Resuscitation
Intravenous Infusion
Intra-Osseous Infusion
Endo-Tracheal Intubation
Cardiac Chest Pain
Myocardial Infarction

CPD PHC03-A - EMT Update Training
This CPD Training Module is designed to ensure skills are updated in the moving of casualties.
This one day (Four Hour) CPD Training package is designed to ensure that the individual is in a position to perform their duties to the required standard in relation to the following skills:
CPR with and without equipment
Carry Chair (patient Moving Chair)
Patient Transfer Board (Pat - Slide)
Long Spinal Board
Orthopaedic Stretcher
Patient Trolley Cot

This course is charged as a complete course. Each course can accommodate 12 students.

All attendees will receive a CPD Certificate on completion of the course.
We also deliver a 2 day CPD Training package for EMT staff working with private and voluntary ambulance services.
CPD Targeted Specialist Training
The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Training Agency are able to provide a more targeted and specialised CPD Training Package to meet clients requirements.
