This course is designed to provide the first aider with the ability to combine advanced resuscitation skills when undertaking resuscitation. The training is carried out by State Registered Paramedics with a vast knowledge in Basic & Advanced Life Support.
Course Content
The course shall cover the following:
- Adult Basic Life Support
- Jaw Thrust
- Oro-pharyngeal Airways
- Bag, Valve, Mask Resuscitation and Oxygen supplement
- Aspiration – Oral and nasal
- CPR in Pregnancy
- AED
- CPR including CPR on a moving Ambulance Trolley Cot
This course is designed to equip the experienced First Aider with the knowledge and skills required to undertake advanced first aid skills in a resuscitation situation.
All candidates attending the course should be familiar with the Resuscitation Council (UK) Adult Basic Life Support Guidelines. All candidates shall be required to undertake a CPR assessment at the commencement of the course.
Candidates are expected to undertake a lot of physical CPR scenarios during the duration of the course adding new skills to each scenario as they acquire the knowledge.
